I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in North Dallas, TX. I provide individual, couple, and family counseling services in Flower Mound, TX. I specialize in relationship issues, betrayal trauma, problematic sexual behaviors or sex and love addiction, blended families, dating after divorce and re-partnering, and trauma recovery. Here’s a little bit of info. about all the letters after my name: I am a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist, trained in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma model through APSATS (The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists) to work with those who have experienced betrayal. I have had additional training in working with patterns of problematic sexual behavior, escape behaviors, betrayal trauma, and therapeutic disclosure through the Connected Recovery Model by Laney Knowlton. I am also a Level 1 Certified Deconstructing Gaslighting Specialist, and am EMDR trained.

I received my Master’s degree and therapy training at Texas Woman’s University, where I worked with families and individuals in a juvenile post-adjudicated placement facility. For more information about my experience, training, and education, visit my FAQS page here.

My preferred approach with clients comes from my own experience in what really works to heal, recover, and create change. As cliché as it is, I’m team “we’ve got to feel it to heal it.” My approach is experiential - and emotion and attachment focused. This really just means I think some of the best healing happens in our connection with others, starting with working on our relationship with ourselves.

Sometimes it can be challenging to see clearly and sift through everything we are thinking and feeling. Getting to the heart of the problem, clearing out the beliefs that aren’t working for us, and expanding on inner strength and resiliency is where the magic happens. Creating a new beginning from loss, betrayal, and heartache is where I really thrive and enjoy my work as a therapist!

When I’m not working with clients - some of my favorite things include the outdoors, humor(I’m a sucker for a good meme), finding new restaurants to try, and spending time with my husband and blended family that includes our 8 fantastic kids.
